What IP configuration do you need to each computer?
R&D:
IP Address: 192.168.5.x
where x is any number between 2 and 252 because 1 and 254 are taken by the default gateway and DNS server, respectively.

Company ABC wants to separate the three business units (Accounting, R&D, and Marketing) for security and audit purposes. I've decided to use Private IP addresses 192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255 for the network. The server computer placed in R&D is also the DHCP and DNS server.
I created three subnets and one for each department.
R&D is assigned 192.168.5.0 /24
Accounting is assigned 192.168.6.0 /24
Marketing is assigned 192.168.7.0 /24

How do you make the computers on the network the DCHP and DNS clients?
Configure the clients to obtain an IP address and DNS address automatically.
After a trial run, you discovered the computers in the Accounting and Marketing department have IP addresses of 169.254.x.x.

Why do they obtain such addresses?
The computers are in different subnets than the DHCP server located in R&D. The DHCP Discover packets, in form of broadcasting, from the computers in Accounting and Marketing are dropped by the default gateway and will not reach the DHCP Server.
Can the computers communicate with each other in the Accounting Department?
Yes, because they are in the same subnet.
Can they communicate with the R&D Department?
No, there is no default gateway configured in APIPA. They also cannot communicate to the internet.
What do you need to correct the problem?
a. Make one of the computers in Accounting and one in Marketing a DHCP Relay Agent. This will forward DHCP packets between clients and servers.
b. An RFC 1542-compliant router listens for DHCP traffic and routes it to the appropriate subnet.
The management wants to assemble two teams with members from all three departments for two internal projects. Team 1 has two people from Accounting, three from R&D, and two from Marketing. Team 2 has two people from Accounting, two from R&D, and three from Marketing. The commutations within the teams should be limited to the corresponding members only.
How many VLANs are you going to create on each switch?
